BASIC was started by  a group of friends as a means to help and support Tabitha Home during the worst and longest economic blockage Manipur had witnessed. Coming together as monthly financial contributors towards helping the orphans at the home, the group grew in number and in their passion to bring change in the society.

BASIC was finally registered in 2013 as a trust with Elvis Khevito Lee, Maivio J Woba, G. Gaithuanlungliu, T. Houreilung and I.N Shimray as the founding members.

Music is his first love and he has been part of many musical imitative that are aimed at bringing social change. An ardent guitar player, he love teaching kids how to play guitar and fall in love with music. He has worked in Himachal villages doing the same and also helped villagers in their daily works.

He grew up in the commercial city of Nagaland, Dimapur. After more than 7 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he decided to start actively engaging in social works as he believed God has called him out to dedicate himself to serve other and people who are in need, especially to work with the youth. After completing DTS with YWAM last year, 2012, he took up the ‘7×7’ music project.

In his own word – I am just a simple man who believe in a Great God and His calling for each one of us in this world. My work is beautifully expressed in this saying by William Penn -

???I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”
